Advocacy on
Capitol Hill

Why is it Important?
With the passage of comprehensive health care reform legislation, many changes will be occurring in coming months. And with many regulations from the bill yet to be put in place, it is critical for nephrologists to be informed and engaged on the policies that will impact the provision of quality kidney care.

By forming a unified, organized group with laser-sharp goals and objectives, our impact with lawmakers will be effective and meaningful. If we don’t advocate for ourselves, then who will? It is up to us to make our collective voice heard and our issues understood. Otherwise, our message may be buried in the high level of “noise” on Capitol Hill.

Invite a Lawmaker to Visit Your Dialysis Center
Center visits are an excellent way to educate federal and state lawmakers on kidney care issues. ANC has made it easy to invite your legislators to your facility – use our center visit toolkit.
